OnlineDegrees.com Releases Infographic Detailing How Student-related Terms and Phrases Rank on Internet Searches
Foster City, CA (PRWEB) August 02, 2011
OnlineDegrees.com recently released an infographic that focuses on key college related terms and phrases that are entered into search engines. An analysis of these search trends, conducted by OnlineDegrees.com, found that searches range from scholarships to beer pong.
“Search engines have become a source of information for everyone and students are no different,” said Michael Stearns, OnlineDegrees.com spokesperson. “They’re looking for help with getting in to college, paying for it and having fun once they are there.”
The infographic shows that party-centric terms like “beer pong,” “flip cup” and “keg stand” are the most popular search terms and are more likely to be searched than “college admissions.” The infographic also illustrates it is possible online searchers care less about how much college costs, but more than how they are going to pay for it. “Student loans” is searched 246,000 times per month, a frequency that is searched 56 times more than the term “college tuition.”
